Accessibility Statement — Lavi

Updated as of January 11, 2024

Introduction

We at Lavi are unwaveringly committed to promoting accessibility, ensuring that individuals with disabilities and special needs can fully enjoy the range of services we offer across our service and sales points, on our website, and at our call centers.

Approximately a quarter of Israel’s population faces challenges in accessing the Internet, including persons with visual and/or hearing impairments, individuals with motor disabilities, the elderly, and more.

To deliver an optimal, professional, and accessible service to everyone, we have made necessary adjustments to our website, implementing accessibility guidelines in compliance with the recommendations of the Israel Standard for web content accessibility (Regulations of Equal Rights for People with Disabilities — Accessibility Adjustments to Services), 5773-2013 (Mark C: Web Services). The site adheres to the requirements of Accessibility Standard SI 5568 Level AA, following WCAG 2.1 recommendations.

This site has been adapted for display in the most popular browsers, including Google Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Explorer 9, in their most current version.

Website Accessibility Information

We have invested significant resources to enhance the usability and accessibility of our site, guided by the belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort, and independence.

We have integrated an advanced accessibility component by UserWay, a website accessibility company, which is operated through a dedicated accessibility server. The software enables the site to improve its compliance with the Internet Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).

The UserWay accessibility menu can be activated by clicking on the accessibility menu icon in the corner of the page. It offers numerous options, including:

  • Adjusting the website and website tags for assistive devices and technologies.
  • Enabling keyboard navigation between links.
  • Disabling flickering and/or moving elements on the screen.
  • Changing contrast (light, dark, and color inversion).
  • A button that enables highlighting all links on the site.
  • Adjusting font size.
  • Modifying text spacing.
  • Hiding photos.
  • A button that enables displaying alternative descriptions for images on mouse hover.
  • Dyslexia support with font changes.
  • Increasing mouse cursor size.
  • Reading mask button that enables focusing on central content on a page.
  • Reading bar button, which adds a line under the mouse pointer for easy reading of the content on the website.
  • Text alignment options.
  • Adjusting row height.

Accessibility profiles enable adjustment according to accessibility profile. The following accessibility profiles are available: Motor disability, blindness, color blindness, dyslexia, visual impairment, cognitive and learning challenges, epilepsy, ADHD.

The accessibility plugin supports screen reader software, including JAWS, NVDA, and others.

We continue to invest efforts in enhancing the website’s accessibility for the entire population, including persons with disabilities and special needs. Despite these efforts, you may encounter parts that have not been made accessible yet. If you experience difficulties or have suggestions for improvement, please contact our accessibility coordinator.
