The Porat Yosef Synagogue, in memory of the fallen IDF soldier Yosef Avigdor, was designed and built with meticulous care and superior craftsmanship. It features high portals, arched windows, a copper-clad door and unique, abstract-design stained windows.
The walls are adorned with colorful ceramics inspired by 18th century Italian ketubahs.
The pews, made of mahogany with CNC cutting and hand-carved elements, integrate with the craftwork featured throughout the synagogue. The 24-foot Aron Kodesh, with its singular design, is well renowned in Tiberias.
